I spent many years going back and forth on starting a blog; the #1 deterrent was always the voice saying “who has time for that?!”… then the pandemic happened and suddenly there was all the time in the world.

My name is Maxine. I am currently a 30 something discovering adulthood at a time of global uncertainty. Come July, I will be celebrating ten years of living abroad.

I was born, raised, and educated in Manila, the Philippines. In 2011, my professional life gave me an opportunity to pursue my career in Singapore. A few years later, I took an opportunity to further my career in New York City. Last year, just before the pandemic, I decided to pursue a challenge across the Atlantic in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

This is a combination of a passion project, a happiness project, and an autobiography of sorts… I hope you’ll join me on this adventure called life!
