Cusina Ysabella-C11.jpg

This is the temporary home of Kusina Ysabella

Kusina is the Filipino word for ‘kitchen’ and it’s where I’ve spent most of my free time in the midst of this pandemic.

Aside from social distancing, it is also imperative to stay well and healthy. This is my attempt at making some delicious treats, more nutritious by making them at home from organic ingredients.

I do not stick to a particular diet nor do I have any dietary restrictions but I do have mild food intolerances which means that I don’t get sick when I eat certain food but I feel much better when I don’t. These recipes were adapted based on these and all recipes are designed to produce the exact portion, ensuring that these are always baked fresh!

Almond Blondies

Imagine chocolate chip cookies in the consistency of a moist brownie.

What makes it more nutritious? Instead of all-purpose flour and refined sugars, I use almond flour, coconut sugar, and dark chocolate.

My Almond Blondies are gluten free.

CocoChoco Banana Bread

Banana bread elevated with hints of coconut and dark chocolate.

What makes it more nutritious? This is made with coconut flour and almond butter. Plus, all the sweetness comes from the bananas, I don’t add any sugar.

My CocoChoco Banana Bread is gluten free and paleo-friendly.
